Outdoor Living Space
Aadloun, Lebanon
This project intervenes in an already under-construction villa to establish a clear architectural base and a coherent landscape framework capable of elevating the house’s presence within its setting. The proposal focuses on grounding the building—spatially and visually—through a carefully structured terrain and sequence of arrival.
The design organises the surrounding landscape into a series of terraced platforms accommodating varied family activities, including a swimming pool, children’s play areas, and outdoor living spaces. Each level is defined with restraint, allowing movement, views, and occupation to unfold gradually across the site rather than being resolved in a single gesture.
Responding directly to the surrounding orchards and stepped agricultural fields, the entrance sequence and cascading stair system become the project’s primary architectural elements. These interventions establish a strong sense of procession, transforming the act of arrival into a measured ascent that lends the summer villa a composed and dignified presence within the landscape.
The result is not an ornamental garden, but a structured outdoor environment—one that organises leisure, movement, and gathering while reinforcing the villa’s relationship to its natural context.
