Kanaan Restaurant Interior

Saida, Lebanon

The interior of Kanaan Terrace is located directly on the seafront, with unobstructed views of the sea. Large openings along the façade flood the space with natural light and create a seamless connection between the indoor seating and the outdoor terrace.

The interior design draws inspiration from oriental sweets and pastries, particularly the geometries of traditional pastry moulds. These patterns are reinterpreted throughout the space like a lace—appearing at different moments as semi-transparent partitions, wall features, and ceiling light installations.

At the heart of the interior is a central operational core, functioning as the main point of activity. This area combines the entrance, service zones, and a series of display counters for ice cream, fresh juices, sweets, and the coffee bar, while also providing a direct connection to the existing pastry shop at street level.

A palette of soft pastel tones, paired with the warmth of light wood finishes, creates a fresh and contemporary atmosphere that complements the natural light and expansive sea views. The result is a bright, welcoming interior that balances craft, comfort, and clarity.
