Human Sensibility Installation
Beirut, Lebanon
“No value can be assigned to a level of sensibility that is similar to that of human thinking. In essence, the car behaves similar to human sensibility.”
— Tetsuo Fujinuki, General Manager, 1st Vehicle Research & Experiment Department
Human Sensibility was developed as a conceptual installation exploring how Subaru’s engineering philosophy could be translated into spatial and experiential terms rather than visual branding alone.
Natural responsiveness to the environment and acute reaction to unexpected situations, Subaru car and its driver are in motion with perfect harmony. Our proposed installation reflects their integrity, parallel responsiveness in motion, and ultimately their symbiotic relation.
The challenge was to express this idea through space rather than representation. The installation became choreography of motion and perception, where spatial shifts, alignments, and moments of tension mirrored parallel processes of awareness and response. Changes in the environment suggested changes in attentiveness, positioning the visitor as an active participant rather than a passive observer.
The result was an environment that communicated Subaru’s ethos through spatial behaviour, not messaging—an installation that made responsiveness perceptible as a lived relationship rather than a technical claim.
